I'll Never Show It
It seems like every day it is something new,
A bruise, a scratch, a burn.
I am loved so much,
And for that, I’ll never show it.
The pain seems to go away after a while,
The tears dry on their own.
His kisses keep me company,
And for that, I’ll never show it.
I knew where this was heading,
A deep, ongoing black abyss.
However, there’s always light at the end,
And for that, I’ll never show it.
The light has come,
But my heart is still hurting.
I will never have to live through that again,
And for that, I’ll never show it.
