I'll open the window
i’ll open the window so you can leave
because i can't watch you walk out the door.
i'll lift the blinds carefully
because that's how i open my eyes looking for you.
i’ll unlatch it slowly
because i want you to know it’s taking a lot out of me.
i’ll remove the screen
because i want you to see how empty the pane is left.
i’ll let you take a last look
because i know that moments like this can be indecisive
i’ll let you jump out
because i want you to get a glimpse of how rock bottom feels.
if you want to go i won't stop you
because that’s your choice to make.
but i’ll open the window so you can leave
because i can’t watch you walk out the door.
