I'll Wait

I’ll Wait

I spent my whole life feeling the void and not knowing why

I walked this earth holding back the tears and not wanting to cry

My heart often feels heavy, my soul cries out loud

But I’ll wait patiently knowing that one day I’ll make you proud

I watched others seek you not knowing what they were going to do

I longed to be fulfilled because I want your love too

It’s you I seek constantly, vehemently, gracefully

But I’ll wait because it’s you I want to meet now and the day I cease to be

A love like yours is what we all want to emulate

A love like yours is what we all want to make us great

A love like yours is what we all need day to day

But I’ll wait
