I'll Wait For You

I sit alone with my head in a book,

None look my way,

I’m invisible to the world around me,

And yet my heart aches for someone

Anyone to talk to.

But with each word I read

My loneliness is filled,

As the words paint a picture in my head.

Like magic I’m swiftly taken away,

I don’t hurt, I don’t cry

But I am filled with joy.
