Illusion of Love

An illusion Something I mistook for real A fragile trust twisted into betrayal Words you said were love, but were really regret A cold hard truth I cannot forget A silent scream from within the dark A shadow standing in a hollow heart Where the fire died before the spark Now the ashes fill the empty void From everything your love destroyed
