the illusionist

you were my true blue soul friend

we had a bond deeper than any I had known before

we laughed and cried

we shared our secrets

i trusted you with the deepest parts of my heart

led you through tunnels I was too afraid to show anyone else

and I thought I knew yours

but it turns out,

it was all an elegantly crafted illusion

you were the magician who faded off the stage at the end of the show

and I was the fool in the audience

duped into belive your tricks were reality
