Illusions
Two worlds
One of poverty
One of prosperity
Two worlds
Of predators
And of prey
One world akin to fire
One world akin to dust
A daunting vibrancy, the world is awash
From dull to a superiority of color and taste and touch
A beautiful world the predators do live
A beautiful world the the humans covet
But beauty is in the eye of the beholder
And beauty is forever a waste
Is it better to live with beauty?
Or to taste the dust and humility
To live a genuine life
In poverty?
A trick question you ask?
Why yes, it is
For no matter where you go
Life is life
The only difference is
The color the grass does grow
Something wrong with this poem?
