ILY(I'm Leaving You)

When I was little "I love you" used to be so signifcant

to me but not so much anymore now that

i've learned that people don't always mean it.

Those three little words

that mean everything to some people

are never said to me without

there being a catch.

You said you love me?

I didn't show you the real me and you left

You said you love me?

Where was the love

when you stabbed the knife through my back

and you left

You said you love me?

But how could that be true

When you yourself said no one could ever love me

And that I would never amount to anything

When you're a child

You believe those three little words

are what holds this world together

and I hope that some day I will find someone

who will show me that it's exactly what is holding everything together.
