I'm Like

I’m like Batman meets Shakespeare I’m like No hate, no fear I’m like spitting venom in a silk dress I’m like Heart of a lioness I’m like Tiger, tiger burning bright I’m like Scared of the sun, never of the night I’m like No one you’ve ever met And You’re like I can’t forget— The girl with the white bike, red shoes, Snaps her fingers to the blues Mind like a steel trap Eyes like grass Voice like a thunderclap Heart of a lion, gentle as the rain Drenched in the blood of all the dragons that she’s slain Looks like a saint, got a tongue like a sinner Looks like a loser but thinks like a winner I’m like A wordsmith in love with the universe I’m like An angel that just loves to curse I’m like Imperfect as it gets But I’m like I’ll be damned if you forget Me with the short hair short fuse Snaps her fingers to the blues, Mind like a steel trap, Eyes like grass Voice like a thunderclap Believes in ghosts but not in second chances Never went on a date, ignored at all the dances Looks like lightning, but feels like rain Yeah, I’m like Your life will never be the same I’m like A scientist who loves the arts, Thinks the universe is beautiful Wants to believe the glass is always kinda sorta full I’m like Lab coat, coffee stains, paint on the wall I think I’ve seen it all I’m like An Olympian who never wins But smiles anyway Because the love of the world Always gets in the way I’m like I wish I was taller, more beautiful, stronger braver faster better But I’m still like If someone wrote the world a love letter And you’re like, What you gonna do with your life Doctor lawyer soldier king And I’m like, Everything. I’m gonna do everything.
