I'm Alright?
Scars are healing
Is it happiness I'm feeling?
Been so long
Since I felt okay
Never want it to go away
All those times
I cried and apologized
Are behind me
And I don't remember
Why the cuts began
I've tried before with never again
Now it's for real
You've helped me so much
Though I've never been able
To do the same for you
These words I'm saying
Could they be true
I'm alright
Even though I can't sleep at night
I'm alright
Even though I still have
The ugly truth branded on my skin
I'm alright
Even though I still can't stand
Who I see in the mirror
I'm alright
Lying to myself now
Hoping it'll become true
I'm alright
I whisper hoping someone
Will believe my lie
I'm alright?
No I'm not
I want that blade
One more time
Every day
I'm alright?
No I'm not, this isn't true
I'm not alright
I'm not even sane
No I'm alright
Ignore the pain
I'm alright
Bottle it up
I'm alright
No one needs to know
I'm alright?
Let's go with that.
