I'm Awake

I’m awake!

I’m awake!

I’m frozen in place.

These worms made homes

out of my viens.

I can’t stop my eyes

from sinking in.

I’m awake!

I’m awake!

Dirt is clogging my throat.

Is anyone listening?

I’m sleeping.

I’m trying to sleep.

Hush Hush

I’ll wake up soon

for this bullet in my brain

has nothing better to do

than keep me awake.

I’m awake.

I’m awake.
