I'm A Big Kid Now
Chasing my mom and my sister around the house,
not trying to be as quiet as a mouse.
Touching everything with my hands,
throwing and slinging rubber bands.
Listening to what my mom said not to do,
then trying it anyway proving that I was coo coo.
With every choice I was told to be patient,
which was hard and only made me impatient.
I had to challenge mom's words of wisdom,
before I realized I am my own kingdom.
My mother's advice now rings in my ear,
so I try very hard to understand and hear.
I'm becoming a man and coming into my own,
I guess that's what mom wanted from my birth as she set my tone.
I'm still learning how patience in a storm can help,
but trust me when I say there are alot less whelps.
