I'm Broken
I'm Broken
You think I'm weak
Go ahead put yourself in my shoes
You wouldn't last a hour in them
You think I had a good life
Try Again
Oh, she's lightskin, police don't worry about her
Try Again
Don't even know, I got shot and arrested before
She has 2 parents at home, she's spoiled
Try Again
Over here getting hit and abused
Oh right, yall aint know
Y'all shocked I thought so
But I'm lying right?!
I always am
But when I come to school with bruises now y'all care
Get outta here
Why don't y'all pay attention to the real things
Look and see the pain and anger
I'm broken
I shouldn't have to say it
You should see it
Wait but im not the same, I cant find peace
I sacrifice my world to a world that ignores me
Black women in therapy, because white terror don't sleep
I have to meditate to stop the PTSD
While winter's leaving, depression is stayin
Y'all still think life is easy for me
Right didn't think so
Don't come running to me now
I've been dealing with tthis on my own
I still can
But I'm still broken
