I'm A Callous

All this fighting
Its uninviting
What can I say?
Same shit, new day

Over and Over
I try to pray
I long for the feeling
Of some full healing
But it slowly slips away.

I've become a callous in my own life
The hurt couldn't cut me
Even if it were a knife.

They think I'm fine
And I pretend I'm devine
But in the end I'm just letting time
Pass me by.

Ever so slightly it seems that its all done
And then it starts, just a new run
Over and over,
Once again
It makes me pick up my pen
Writing, writing
Because of all the fighting.

They think I'm fine
And I pretend I'm devine
But in the end I'm just letting time
Pass me by
Till I have that chance to go
Go and fly
Leave forever
Because I will never ever
Come back to all this fighting.
