I'm a canvas of...

I’m a canvas of…

Blank, paint, anything I can dream,

I start out each morning wondering what will unseam.

From my mind’s greatest wonders,

to a heart of pure gold;

put it into color,

and the story unfolds.

Whether pencil, pen, or marker, it takes only one mark,

to see my true inner self setting off the spark.

I am inspiration, strength, and kind,

with a dab of everything;

and gaze upon my artwork,

you see the unseen.

Emotions, realization, motivation, perhaps;

each and every stroke fills in the gaps.

After all these years it’s hard to believe,

that each and everyday is a new masterpiece;

the people we meet might not always look at it the same way,

but I’m a canvas of something they’ve yet to perceive.

Thanks, praise, whatever I can give,

to the girl that taught myself that this is how I live.
