I'm Christian
Who made the tradition to pour your heart out on the altar/
It's a rush and a rage to know that there's someone here that thinks I'm insane/
But I'm in my right mind, so please don't mind that I right my mind/
I'm crazy, in love with Jesus, who himself I have to rely on my left brain to imagine/
And I would kind of get you not liking me if I was bombing in the name of God/
But He told me to love, so my gunpowder is joy, in a casing of peace, and the wick is fear/
So when my fear finally runs out.../
Boom/
But you hate me for it/
You hate that my love insists on telling you that there's a hell, the place where the angels that fell are destined/
You hate that I warn you that along with love, God is good/
We are not good/
We spit in the face of God, used the life we've been given to satisfy our own desires/
Used the breath he gave us to curse him, we DESERVE the fire/
Think of anyone who's ever spit in YOUR face, betrayed you, enslaved you, took you to the side, looked into your eyes, and told you how much they hate you/
But if you've ever thought about what you've done to God, you'll see that you deserve death just as much as they do.../
So there God is, Take Two, but instead of the Garden of Eden, he's in the Garden of Gethsemane/
Where he knew we were sick, and was about to concoct a remedy/
So he died to take the wrath God had in store for us/
And rose three days again, for us/
Breathed the Bible, for us/
For you/
I serve a God who loved us before he punished us/
