I'm A Cowboy
The trains’ a comin’
Not sure on where I’m a goin’
Maybe to the west,
The place my kin say best
I am a cowboy
This is my heart
The trains’ a comin’
Hearing its whistle blow in perfect timin’
Listen to the sound of the desert
From day into night trying to convert
I am a cowboy
These are my sounds
The trains’ a comin’
Feel its constant drummin’
Experience the night air blowin’ cross your skin
Embrace the feeling of the warm sand across your chin
I am a cowboy
This is how I feel
The trains’ a comin’
Passin’ me over and over unbecoming
Watch as the shadows cross over the plains
Notice the pasts drift away like cleaned stains
I am a cowboy
This is what I seen
The trains’ a comin’
I know where I am goin’
It’s a place new and free
A place for my new kin n’ me
I am a cowboy
And this is my home
