I'm falling

I am falling
Like autumn leaves
with no real pattern
Just aimlessly to the ground
will I too be forgotten?

I am broken
Slammed to a million pieces
I can not be mended
for I'm made of potter
For there is no purpose
For things that are broken

I'm lost with no direction
a wild animal I've become
for I have no place to call my home
So I'm forever on my own

At last I've reached the end
My legs are sharking from exhaustion
I want to stop, rest, sleep
but I mustn't
For I am wounded and alone
I have no protection
Form the enemy ahead

I come to drink form the pit
but cry out in bitterness
when I see that there's no water
will my thirst ever quench
Will I ever rest
But I will not quit
For I'm still young

I curl myself into a ball
For the storms of sand will start again
and the burns and cut will reopen
for I'm the fallen broken lost
And no one knows the storms that are ahead

So I smile
and keep Silence
I play the I'm alright
For these cuts and bruises make me strong
and one day
the pain will stop
