I'm Fine.

Inside of my outward appearance,

inside of my jokes, smirks, and giggles

lies a tortured soul

A witty little brute

unheard, unseen, unable to cope

inside of my internal battles,

lies the disappointing truth

"You're not enough" I say

Buried underneath 25 synonyms of I'm okay

"Why bother?" my heart cries

as pain blazes behind my eyes

What they know is too much to hold inside

but let me tell you what,

Give me a pen

Give me some lines

I'll be just fine
