I'm Fine.

I’M FINE

“Im fine,” - I say it all the time.

“I’m fine,” - a small phrase,

But the biggest lie.

“I’m fine,” - maybe, in due time.

“I’m fine,” - I said with shame,

As if it were a crime.

“I’m fine,”  - I’ll say it ‘till I die.

“I’m fine,” - a false phrase,

A simple warning sign.

“I’m fine,” - I say, so I don’t cry.

"I’m fine,” - said so lamely.

I no longer wish to try,

To play this game,

To lie each day,

To act as if I’m fine.
