I'm getting better
When I was born it was unexpected
The lies my mother told were undetected, by the men that believed that they were my father
Yet my real father had run away
To a child with just a mother, this wasn’t really a bother
She was all I knew
Hoping hotels with two younger siblings
It was an adventure, Right?
She talked to people that weren’t there
The midnight adventures
Strange men
Strange pills, can’t touch
Little games
Don’t let them see you, pretend you are asleep
They catch you, you lose
He hit her to the ground
Lots of blood to be found
Pounding on my chest
Screaming in my ears
Must hold them back or they will get hurt
Hot tears running down three little angels cheeks
Looking out the windows
Crying into pillows
We had to run away
To our secret hiding place
Yet one day we got caught and got taken away
Little sister had some safe place to stay
But me and my little brother had nothing else but to pray for a better day
Mother said she would come back to save the day
Oh how I waited for that day, but It never came
I grew into a body with so many curves that it seemed to make you dizzy
Boys tend to think I was way to easy
A tiny waist where they can slip their hands around
A no is not a no it’s just playing hard to get
This girl fought cause that is what she was taught
But they were made because violations were caught
I grew angry
I mean can you blame me
Mommy left
Daddy ranaway
Even my siblings got taken away
Boys only want to get in between your legs
Trust Issues
Daddy Issues
Self Hate
Can’t Wait
Til I can get away
I’m in a dark place
Too far to be reached
Far more lessons to be teached
I can’t live with this pain
I have to get better
The only way to be loved it to love oneself
So I must heal
Open up
Even though I have a fear of being dumped
