I'm the Girl

You sat beside me in class today

not knowing the loneliness in my mind.

I wore a mask that always smiled

to hide my feelings behind a lie.

I'm the girl who has a tough exterior,

but the hatred screams under my skin

while you pretend to know me.

I'm still here with my lipstick smile.

I am just a lonely soul

you will never really see.
