I'm Going to Be Okay, It's Going to Be Alright
I lay on a blanket of dark green,
That’s thirst has been quenched by the sky’s tears
Intoxicating myself with its sun kissed cologne,
Gently moving as a breeze rushes by,
Tickling my toes, as if ants have crawled on me,
Homing the hundreds of crickets and their continuous calls.
I look up at a tapestry of darks rich blues and purples
Sprinkling the evening with twinkling lights
Tasting the freshness of the light, still air.
The world seems more of a safer place.
With the embrace of nature when loneliness walks by,
And in that moment l realize something great,
I’m going to be okay, it’s going to alright.
