I'm Gonna Make It

One day I'm gonna be famous

for the things I've done,

the words my pen has sung,

and the ideals I have become;

I'm gonna make it one day.

One day I'm gonna have a house,

a house only nice enough for me,

not for MTV to come and see,

but for ME to live happily;

I'm gonna make it one day.

One day I'm gonna marry a beautiful girl

a girl who falls asleep in my arms,

who falls for my devilish charms,

and one who doesn't set off any of my alarms;

I'm gonna make it one day

And one day

I'm gonna hold the world in my palm

and the words they say

won't affect my calm;

I'm gonna make it someday....
