"I'm Here For A Reason"

“I’m Here For A Reason”

I’m here for a reason!, I’m not here to waste time,

I’m definitely not here to be hegemonized on how a man or woman should be or act at any given moment,

and if u think I’m here to deal with the constant issues that run like a cycle,

questioning ourselves on why, how, and what is taking so long, for things to become transformational, more historical, successful,

what’s stopping us from wanting to change things around, to make this society equitable,

and accepting when it comes to beliefs, race, religion, or ethnicity so much violence and graphical losses when it comes to the sketchy streets

and the government not putting enough attention, on what has to be done in minority communities but I’m here for a reason!

I just have to remind myself, change on what has to be changed if no one is going to take action, my intellectual moments will lead me in the right direction,

it sickens me having to watch women and children be sold and be treated like objects, as men are put aside as the fearless, the smartest and the strongest

so they try to make it a permanent decent but I’m here for a reason!

it’s just not similar to world war 1, when Germany is respected and how power is easily taken for granted,

holding no weight on their shoulders unless they wanted to be pleased or they wanted to industrialize like the rest of the countries,

to take advantage of the people who suffered deeply, breaking backs, showering themselves in factories, with the ash, the smoke, the blood that was sacrificed and the burnt coal that vaporized their atmosphere

but like they told me, there was no better way to create iron and the money that was spent on the wars that were worth more than the children dying in those hard working conditions

trying to find the specific role I must play to at least feel like a hero to those who are drowning more than me,

which explains at the end of the day, that I’m here! for a reason!

I can only be an example of what I prepared myself to become so a leader I shall be because these inequitable and confused systems that we live upon won't fix themselves. I speak for the voiceless, others and I take responsibility for my actions so I'll let my actions speak loud while you listen to the words that sink in.
