I'm a hidden luxury.

I'm a hidden luxury.

A treasure to behold.

From my lips spill twinkling words,

Straight from my soul.

From my eyes come trailing tears,

Filled with relief and fear.

Now that you are gone

What is to become of me

Lonely standing here?

Years I have had you by my side,

Helping me with love.

And the guilt ate you away,

Giving into what you were to become.

All I told you was the truth.

I pretended to believe your lies.

In the end your guilt it seems,

Looked only for my thighs.

So "Sorry" I must say,

And "Farewell" I must bid you.

I was to be your wife but lies made me your whore.

My trust in you never grew,

As yours in yourself wilted.

I will not feed your flesh

If your mind itself has quitted.
