I'M MORE THAN THIS

During the moments
when everything in my life
seems stagnant
and
the path ahead blur,
I suspect
if this emptiness
is what I really am.

But a voice
inside my spirit
insists, ‘no’.

It tells me
I’m more than this
and it asks me
to look into myself,
into the universe
I have inside of me
and see
if I do not have
stars that explode
with vigour and passion
inside my mind,
telling me
I’m even more than this
and that
I’m everything
but an emptiness.
