I'm my own

I’m mine own. I’m supposed to be like my family. I’m seen as one with them. I’m told that I act so different from my siblings. ‘They are friendly, kind, accepting’ but that’s not me. I’ve been through things they haven’t, my mind is different from theirs. I’m not a copy and paste of my siblings. I choose my own path. That doesn’t mean I’m lost though. The world is different to me, I don’t believe in being someone else. I am mine, I’m not my siblings and I’m not my family. I stand may stand alone but that’s fine because I get to be my own.
