I'm no demon

Bells chimed unsynchronized on the day I was outed

My mother and father held denial like a child in their hands

Their minds clouted

While their minds were in turmoil, mine was in

Survival

Uncertainty is the monster that summons irrationality

Friends to each other, not kind to others

Not kind to me

Their minds were distorted, mine was in

Survival

A demon by definition is an evil spirit or devil

One who takes pleasure in distress and disarray

But yet, they revel

Their minds were puppeteered, mine was in

Survival

The day I’m free is the day I dread

They gave me everything

And yet, I promise to have no tears to shed

Their minds are in ignorance, my mind wants

acceptance
