I'm Not Alone
Dear God,
Right now I don’t know what to do.
Life is getting harder and I can’t find you.
I’ve tried holding on to what I know is true,
Where are you?
Right now I don’t know what to do.
They say ‘read the books’ and ‘just talk’ to you.
But it’s like a brick wall that I’m talking to!
Where are you?
I’m screaming at the top of my lungs!
And I’m crying, God where have you gone?
And I’m hoping, and praying,
You’d show me you’re still here,
And I’m not alone.
I need you to hold me, to show me
That there is more than this.
I need you to teach me, to reach me
And pull me out of the mess I’m in.
And I need to trust you,
that you’ll pull through,
That you’ll still be here when I need you,
Because I need you, I need you,
I need you.
Your daughter,
Sydney
