Im Not From Around Here

Im not from around here
I'm not from the suburbs
I'm not from the x-burbs
Not even the country
But the zurbs
I have a 37.2 light year commute everyday,
It's quite a trek
You try going through the cosmos at 7:35 in the morning and still be on time for work
Traffic is a major bear
And don't get me started on the Milky Way
Though it has gotten a little better since they by-passed Pluto
But while I have you all here I would like to ask you a few questions.
There are a few aspects of human culture I don't understand.
They are alien to me
Why are fat filled foods so attractive but fat filled hips aren't?
Those with larger stores of lipids can survive longer in times of famine
What is a honey boo boo chile and why is everyone so fascinated?
On my planet we recycle
do you know that word?
where you take waste and turn it into something useful?
we recycle the talentless, spoiled children instead of giving them fame and money.
Why do Christians preach the word of love and acceptance but hate anyone who has a socially unacceptable form of love.

Like when a teacher getting fired for putting her partners name in her mother’s obituary
Love is love
Why do you think burying your waste or dumping it in the water will make it go away?
Please recall our previous conversation on recycling
Why did the woman sell her 15 month old daughter for pornography?
And you congratulated the mother when the baby was born
Do young girls always kill themselves when made fun of?
Isn't it there fault? They sent the pictures.
do you normally have explosions at the end of a marathon

That’s no way to greet the winners
Stop destroying your planet because it's all you have
I'm not taking you with me to seek refuge and your GPS doesn't work that far
But I wouldn't mind taking Your artists, your philosophers, your humanitarians.
Ill take the bones of John Lennon, Freda Kahlo, DaVinci, Ghadi, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa.
the remains that hold your fragile society together.

Ill take the Mona Lisa, Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, a sign first edition of Leaves of Grass, the complete works of Shakespeare and French fries
The police officer who gave his shoes to the homeless boy on the street
The mother of 5 who works 3 jobs just so her kids can eat
The doctor that opened a free children's clinic in a neighborhood infested with AIDS
The 13 firefighters who ran into a flaming chemical plant to save workers they never knew
I'll take the memory of Christ because it's the only pure thing left in this world.
I'll just leave you, the haters, the killers, the oppressors and the cancer of your society to alienate yourselves from humanity.
