I'm Not Coming

I have somewhere to be
Hurrying and scurrying
Maneuvering mindless movements
One swift exit, four cocky strides
Push the earth beneath my feet
And drop me off the landing
Now here I am stuck standing
It's july
And the blue sky renders excitement in my eye
Starkly suspended in sunshine
Golden rays warm cold thoughts
And ethereal energy elicits exuberance
The same way salt water
Takes my breath away
As dopamine is summoned
I freeze in a dream
Where livelihood can be seen
Unexpectedly reminiscent of the keenness
In my soul
I've indubitably decided...

I have somewhere better to go.
