I'm Not Her
And I still remember that day
The day you decided to walk away
You left me like it was an easy choice
I couldn't even hear it from your own voice
I wasn't what you wanted, or what you desired
So with that you set my heart on fire
I wasn't enough for you to care
When I needed you, you couldn't be there
I put you first, and loved you so
But for you it was easy to let me go
Because I'm not her
She is the brightness of your eyes
Those same dark brown eyes that had me hypnotized
You've moved on and forgotten me
But when I close my eyes you're all I see
You're left here inside my heart
And all it's doing is tearing me apart
You threw me away like I was nothing
You don't understand how you're messing
With my heart and my mind everyday
All because you were too selfish to stay
You fell for her while you were with me
Maybe because you were, unhappy?
Because I'm not her
She is the brightness of your eyes
Those same dark brown eyes that had me hypnotized
You've moved on and forgotten me
But when I close my eyes you're all I see
You're left here inside my heart
And all it's doing is tearing me apart
So if in the past, it happened to you
How could you do this to me, how could you?
I'm really, a mess right now
But I'm trying my best to get it together somehow
I wasn't the one you wanted, I wasn't the one you needed
How couldn't I understand that you are so conceited
I didn't see the red flags warning me
That you were just gonna be
Full of lies, in disguise, and have me hypnotized
To you I wasn't perfect
To you I wasn't worth it
For you I wasn't enough
I always put you first, and I loved you so
But for you it was easy to let me go
You let me go
Because I'm not her
