I'm Not Okay
All my life
I've done what I've been told
Never complained
Never asked for anything
Been polite, quiet and respectful
Kept my pain inside
So I wouldn't worry anyone
Kept my words silent
So no one would get hurt
Apologized
For everything I did
And said it was okay
When it really wasn't
Pretended I was okay
To make everyone happy
Bottled up my anger
So the only one who got
Hurt was me
I became a monster
And I became weak
Wishing I was far away
When the weakness fell from my eyes
And to my dearest friend I'd
Whisper
I'm not okay
And into the darkness I would
Yell
It's not alright
I'm not okay.
