I'm not the one who needs saving

Location

I walked up the stairs to our a apartment
Uncloaked something I could not prevent
Peered through the half open door
Approaching I did not hear a snore
A drop in my stomach

White as snow was your face
Gone was your grace
Anyone I called for
All was ignored
A skipped heart beat

The last time I saw you
A piece of me died too
Close your eyes unable to sleep
Hold your breath clench your teeth

A call with a trembling voice
A decision with out a choice
Could it be true
Wonder as the wind blew
A lucid night terror

You cannot express it in any other way
Feels like years to last a day
Tears crash like waves
Don't think of the grave
I'd die for you

The last time I saw you
A piece of me died too
Close your eyes unable to sleep
Hold your breath clench your teeth
