I'm not scared
(poems go here) Do I look Scared?
Maybe I do, but I’m not.
Just because I shake,
am losing control.
because the frame is
bent like my mind.
Metal torn, safety stolen,
Maybe the front is on the
road from
Here.
to
the
yard.
Because I can’t breathe.
The brakes work worse with her,
than my other woman on the road that day.
Just because the air bag’s
gone
Maybe I’m sitting alone
hoping the water will wash
the scent of death off me.
I survived. The scars,
unseen shake my core.
I’m alone, stuck accelerating,
Seeing the…BANG!
Sorry, I apologize.
I won’t lose control again.
