I'm Not/But I am

I am not flawless because I have no flaws

But because my flaws deserve an applause

My nose isn’t the right size

The bump in the ridge is a little repulsing

But the shape of it enhances my eyes

It forms a face completely alluring

My ears remind me of a children’s cartoon

The point on top makes me irritable

But they’re symmetrical like 2 halves of a moon

Situated on my profile looking equally adorable

My lips are too thin

I’ve never been able to cutely pout

But the bow shape can drive a man to sin

The allure has thoroughly been drawn out

My cheeks are too full

I wish they could be more hollow

But they hold an innocent pull

They enhance the dimples that follow

A young man throws me a compliment

He thinks I should be grateful

I don’t need to listen I’m more than content

His side compliments aren’t fateful

I reply with “I Know”

He looks utterly appalled

I can’t stand the look on his face and I go

I knew my worth before he called

I need no one’s approval

I know I am beautiful
