I'm Nothing Special...

I’m just a person.

Nothing special,

I like rock bands and books

And I cant always keep my head up

Most of the world over looks me,

I’m just “one of the crowd”

But there’s one little girl

Who looks for me in the crowd

To her, I AM special

I’m the reader of her favorite stories,

And the singer of her favorite songs.

I chase the monsters away,

And I become her hero.

I’m not mommy,

But mommy wasn’t around.

And I’m just a person.

Nothing special.

I like scary movies and pajamas.

But I’m always there.

And to her, that’s everything.

And she’s everything to me.
