I'm but only an Echo

I have a boy in my class,

his head is full of gas.

He is really nice looking,

but nothing in his brain is quite a-cooking.

All the girls can't help but fawn,

there attractions make me yawn.

But quietly I knew

he had me under his spell too!

Then one day I saw him look in a mirror,

it seemed as if he had never seen anyone dearer.

I thought what narcissistic man,

to think he can

win women over

with a shrug of his shoulder.

Standing in the background of his highschool dream,

I just want to scream.

How could I not even score a goal

to be a supporting role

in this self absorbed one man

scam.

How could I scram this nightmare?

It makes me want to stop breathing air.

I realize I am but only an echo,

the thought isn't exactly mellow.
