I'm In Over My Head

Call lights shining,

alarms ringing,

people racing,

I'm in over my head.

Long lectures,

rushed notes,

early mornings,

I'm in over my head.

Blood pressure rising,

nerves all a wreck,

I can't keep up,

I'm in over my head.

Reset,

relax,

breathe,

make it through.

First patient,

nerves fluttering,

their smile,

I'm in over my head.

Questions asked,

chart filled,

day is done,

you can make it through this, dear.
