I'm Perfect
I'm perfect
and I know we all hate to admit it,
with these critics and their acidic opinions.
Let their acid fall on our day and singe us,
cut out our smiles with syringes.
But the fact is,
I'm perfect.
Reading our bibles less and less because of stress
when that's when we need it best.
and pretending like we don't know God to be like the rest,
when we know it's not worth it
But it's just becasue.
I'm perfect.
Keeping God to ourselves, like classified 10 hoarders,
when we should spread his word.
Boarders.
but boarding in his light, and putting it in a screen and laying our eyes on it daily;
Instead of jumping to our feet and praying.
I'm perfect.
Spending time on our divine comsmetics,
making ourselves hard core synthetic,
when God doesn't care about your lash blast mascara.
Pathetic!
Well, I say I'm perfect.
God doesn't care about the content of your systematic weekend
start but of the content of your heart.
Looking past our everyday mistakes.
I'm perfect.
and missing out on takes.
I'm perfect.
but holding our hand and kissing our face,
when we know we've misbehaved and we can't erase
or misplace our folly chosen ways.
I'm perfect.
he's giving me breath to start my day
and giving me knowledge to give him the praise.
and giving me unfailing love even when I get it wrong.
I'm perfect.
becoming blurred with eratic and errornous slurs.
kind of like how I keep misprnouncing this word.
Imperfect
