I'm From Poem
I’m from household of 3 families,
Living in a small house.
Where room are less and people are more.
A value that passing through the generation,
3 families sitting in same room.
Becoming full of Bazaar.
Elders on the sofa and youngers on the floor.
I’m from the house of conservative.
House that only holds arranged marriages,
Where child is obligated,
To rich culture of Pakistani.
I’m from the House of Education.
Where child even learns,
In a dim light of candle,
Or, on a roof of terrace.
Under the light of sun or, blanket of dark.
I’m from the house of Biryani.
Where the steam of specie can be felt,
3 rooms away.
Sitting in a families of 3.
I’m from the house of religion.
Quran read once,
And, prayers 5 times a day.
A recite of surah,
Begin with adult,
End with child.
I’m from the House,
Where future and present generation,
Obligated to be successful.
Because past generation didn’t.
I’m from house of immigrants.
Where parents struggles every day.
From finance, health to language.
Where long walks are taken,
In a land of foreign.
But, now some struggle are forgotten.
Because now i’m building to be House
Of success,
Of Education,
Of Independence,
But, from and with house,
Of religion ,
Of love,
And, of culture.
