I'm a Prisoner to the Game

Location

I have a love for the game something you wouldn't understand because while you were playing it I was watching from the stands

Sideline story no one likes to tell. It's like seeing heaven's gates open but having to watch it from hell. My feet bound there's no way to make bail. They say patience is key so I wait quietly in my shell

When it's my turn to prosper I shall never fail. Saw my life fall apart around me thought I would never prevail

God lifted me up and said "have hope you have a story to tell"

My favorite part of this poem is being able to talk about my season ending injury and how God has rescued me. Despite how hard it was not being able to play, I was still determined to get back on my feet so I could come back stronger. Often times when we go through trials and tribulations we start to feel discouraged but what we don't know is that God can use that mess as a blessing. It is all about perspectives!
