I'm right because I write

(poems go here) I write because I can hide behind my words. It’s the relief of telling a secret that only I know. It’s the security of knowing I’ll have a place to call my own. Sometimes words are all I have and when I can’t speak them, I write them. It’s speaking your mind without opening your mouth. I can talk about the weather or what’s happening down south. There are no rules and no limits. The power of the voice put to paper is the rawest form of emotional integrity. It’s the treasures hidden within my diary. Words may mean absolutely nothing to one person and the world to another. Writing is an escape from my caged life.
