I'm sitting in my car

I can't really say
What this mood I'm in
But its strange because I'm alone again
But I don't feel down or out I feel great and good to let it out
This feeling of being real
Is something I can't live without
This is the real me
I let my mind go wild and I sing it loud
I'm in my car thinking about what I said today
Did the letters from my lips represent me well
I still have so many things to say but no one to tell

A few cars pass by but they don't seem to notice me
I'm sitting here
Asking why I am so happy
Doesn't matter I'll just take it
And let it be
Maybe I'm just glad I'm not writing another song about love
Because those are so lame
But all the same I can't have it
Anymore than I can be okay
With something someone else has already had

I need to have originality
I need to at least feel unique
Real art is just a window to reality
Not some fake feeling we wish we had
I know the journey is different for everyone
But I'll take that unbeaten path as often as I can
I'll sit in this car until I feel like my view on others has softened
And take their differences
Put them in the dark and watch them shine

I'm attached to you
Not matter how hard I try
I'll never truly be an individual
But why should I?
There's no need to be apart from everyone
I wouldn't like that
But need to feel original and unique
And they way I do that is how I talk and speak
