im sorry
They always said that mothers are always right,
And so I keep the truth hidden from sight.
Sorry, mom, for the scar in my heart,
For the way you tore my whole world apart.
Sorry, mom, for the way that I grew,
For the mental health problems I got from you.
You told me to run, to leave and not stay,
You told me to end it and throw it away.
Sorry, mom, for not believing in love,
For the weight of the things I’m tired of.
But they say you're right, and I guess that it's true,
Because I'm still apologizing to you.
