I'm Sorry

I'm sorry that U don't  understand me I'm sorry that every word that comes out of my mouth you don't believe me
I'm sorry that my personality is so big maybe God a planted a seed in me
I'm sorry that you don't perceive me as aesthetically pleasing because what is cute changes by this season
i'm sorry I always ask you why I just need a reason
i'm sorry that you can't see me bleeding i'm sorry a hug is not what I'm needing Conformity has broken more identities then education has kilt potential because not everyone can fit into a stencil
I'm sorry I don't tell you everything that's on my mental i'm sorry that my blackness has a little bleach to it so some people Leach to it because it's close to purity which is white because speaking  right to equivalent to speaking  white but last time I saw the devil it was wearing a blue white and his face was the purest thing insight
i'm sorry that I'm so light  but  that don't mean my blackness is out of sight i'm sorry that I say sorry so much is starting to become part of my vernacular like i say um or  like
i'm sorry that I come off as rude sometimes u just catch me in the  wrong  mood
i'm sorry that depending  on who you are is depending on how I will react  to you
i'm sorry that I get offended so much but who gave you the being black starter kit  see we  use dub tape to fix everything including to bandage our  pain even if you stop the bleeding the blood will remain and a scar would stain my skin but hidden underneath are my broken veins
i'm sorry that I don't always get the concept that you are teaching me maybe it's the way you say it maybe it doesn't seem like you really believe in what you teaching  me secretly I'm  sorry that I always do  stupid stuff so I happened to hear  my mommy preaching Frequently.
I'm sorry that my blackness makes you uncomfortable but its your white privilege that  I'm running from   And I have been running for years from the trees that my ancestors were hung from you can't undo with your grandparents have done i'm sorry that kids  lose their parents so young
I'm sorry that I have so much pain inside that my heart is starting to beat like a drum
i'm sorry that these kids don't have no power in their lives so they look for it in a gun i'm sorry my smile is as bright as the sun
i'm sorry because of the person I have become  i'm sorry that I believe in Jesus more than a believe that these teachers are teaching me something that's worth believe in
I'm sorry that I don't get your lessons because when I raise my hand to give you a connection  to the lesson they really are my confessions but you don't get them.
I'm sorry that you don't get my culture so when I be black  you discipline me because you're not cultured
i'm sorry that I wrote this poems  it feels like I'm committing murder cause these are  my deepest fears and these are the things that I can't get over this poem is in its right mind it's very sober I just said sorry so many times in vain that it should be a curse word i'm sorry that you will never understand me my hair or my culture you don't like my skin tone but you steal  my culture everything black you eat it up like vultures see Europeans don't have any cultures they rob everyone else's  culture their cultural appropriation soldiers
