I'm sorry
I’m sorry
for the times that I hated you to the point of killing you
I’m sorry
that I hated you for having the face of my dad
The more I get older I realize the abuse I’ve passed on to you without realizing
Im sorry for that time I was 10 and I ran in front of a train
I’m sorry for that time I ran in front of cars
I’m sorry for that time I tried to slit my wrist
I never hated you
I punished you for not being strong enough to live
And for that I’m sorry
As I grow older
I’m appreciating the strench marks
That are the proof that I’ve grown
I’m appreciating the random beauty marks on my body
I’m appreciating the fat on my knees that are shaped like a face
I’m appreciating how one butt is bigger than the other
As I grow older
I look in the mirror a bit more
As I grow older
I smile a bit more everyday
Thank you for being the vessel I use everyday
To find one more reason to love you more
