I'm Still Me Without Makeup

When I'm not wearing makeup, and I'm stripped down and bear

I feel a need to clarify; to clear the air

"I don't always look like this"

But the thing is, I do always look like that

And when I'm just me, without faking perfection,

Realizing that it's okay to have imperfections;

I can tell who my real friends are, who really loves me

I can finally allow myself to feel free

Subtract the acne, the blackheads, the plumpness of my cheeks

Subtract the paleness, the bags under my eyes, the physique

And you have me;

Just me
