I'm Tired

Hold onto me.
Let me cry.
Hold me and say,
"Everything will be alright."
I don't care if it's a lie.
Just hold me,
And keep me warm and safe.
Let me hold onto you.
Allow me to cry into you.
Give me the comfort I want.
Give me the affection I need.
I'm tired.
I'm tired.
I'm so tired.
Remember me,
Not as the burden I am,
But as the smiling child.
Remember me,
Not as the shadow screaming out in pain,
But as the light that brightened your day.
Comfort me.
Hold me.
And let me die.
Only remember me as someone amazing,
Rather than who I was.
